Humanitarian aid from Kyrgyzstan dispatched to Tajikistan.

The humanitarian aid from Tajikistan has been dispatched to the Republic of Tajikistan as earlier ordered by President Bakiev, the Kyrgyz Ministry of Emergency Situations said on Tuesday.The humanitarian aid includes 1,000 asbestos cement boards, 3 powerful transformer substations, 4 tons of reinforcement bars to the value of around 5 million soms.The humanitarian aid was shipped to the town of Khojent of Suhgd region of Tajikistan.Long and heavy showers in various parts of Tajikistan caused floods, mudslides that resulted in loss of human lives and above US$100 million damage for the national economy. The Government of Tajikistan appealed to all states of the world, the United Nations Organization and other international agencies asking for an emergency assistance.
