Huddersfield trio held.

HUDDERSFIELD drew 3-3 with Castleford's second string in their rearranged fixture in Division One of the Yorkshire Snooker League.

Conrad Norcliffe started the evening off, outplaying James Pearson in the opening frame, who then retaliated to level the match to 1-1. Martyn Beck couldn't find any rhythm in the third frame against Mike Hodgson, and due to an untimely miscue on the final black in the fourth, it cost him the frame to put the hosts 3-1 down.

The final match up was between each captain, Michael Whaley took the fifth against Pete Raby aided by a run of 46, and scrapped out the last frame of the night to force a draw for Huddersfield.

Scores: C Norcliffe v J Pearson 52-18, 58-70; M Beck v M Hodgson 25-68, 54-58; M Whaley v P Raby 77-28, 78-55.
