Huawei claims to be signing up more 5G customers despite Trump, US pressure.

Part of Huawei's stand at the Ai Everything event in Dubai earlier this year.

Huawei deputy chair and rotating CEO Ken Hu claims Huawei now has at least 50 global 5G contracts - an increase of at least 10 since March.

His words came during a presentation at the Mobile World Congress in Shanghai. They also come as numerous Western nations and companies have cut ties with Huawei amid concerns about spying and how close ties between Huawei and the Chinese government might be.

Huawei has repeatedly denied the allegations.
