Huawei, AMD orders to play large role in TSMC Q2 revenue growth, DigiTimes says.
Huawei and AMD (AMD) orders will play a vital role in driving TSMC's (TSM) revenue growth in Q2, DigiTimes' Monica Chen, Hsinchu and Jessie Shen reported, citing market watchers. TSMC's 7nm process utilization rate has increased since the start of the Q2 with Huawei and AMD among the foundry's 7nm chip clients. A pick up in orders for Qualcomm's (QCOM) Snapdragon 855 series that will power numerous 5G smartphones expected to launch this year will also boost TSMC's revenue growth. Sources believe TSMC is set to see Q2 revenues return to a sequential growth track. [Reference Link]:[https://www.digitimes.com/news/a20190411PD209.html]
