Hoy there, it's another gold for Sir Chris; CYCLING.

SCOTLAND'S cycling legend Sir Chris Hoy captured gold in the open sprint at the National Track Championships in Manchester.

The Team Sky racer eased to a 2-0 victory in his final against Motorpoint Cycling's David Daniell to claim his second gold medal in successive days following his keirin triumph.

Hoy enjoyed a routine 2-0 success against Peter Mitchell in his semi-final while Daniell came from behind to beat Jason Kenny 2-1. Kenny bounced back from that narrow defeat to beat Mitchell 2-0 and claim the bronze medal, while team-mate Hoy was also successful in two straight heats in his final.

The three-time Beijing Olympic champion in 2008 held off a late charge from Daniell to win the first heat by half a wheel on the line.

The second was just as close but Hoy, who lost in the semis last year to Kenny, this time went all the way.
