How they rated.

Byline: ADAM JONES

8 JORDAN PICKFORD Made a couple of key blocks late in the first half and some absolutely vital saves in the second half.

5 MASON HOLGATE Very clumsy challenge to give away the early penalty, but did offer a good outlet in the second half.

4 MICHAEL KEANE Nutmegged in the build-up to the penalty and let Traore in front of him too easily for the second goal.

7 ASHLEY WILLIAMS The most composed of the back four and topped off a solid performance with a fantastic header to equalise.

4 CUCO MARTINA Offered himself as an option going forward without really threatening, and was left wanting at times defending.

6 M SCHNEIDERLIN Certainly an improved performance, making a few key interceptions in the centre of the park. Unlucky to be injured.

5 DAVY KLAASSEN Didn't take the chance that was handed to him. Sloppy in possession and only shot on goal being a rather tame effort.

7 TOM DAVIES Asked to cover a number of positions throughout the match and took each one better than the last. Very cultured display.

6 KEVIN MIRALLAS Almost like a man possessed throughout the first half with some good, direct attacking play - but his influence waned.

7 NIKOLA VLASIC Strong, quick, clever passer of the ball and absolutely full of energy. Everton have unearthed a real talent here.

6 DOM CALVERT-LEWIN Great at closing down the centre-backs once more but not given the clear-cut chance in front of goal he wanted.

LOOKMAN (for Klaassen) Added an instant dash of direct play, but quiet later on. 6 SIGURDSSON (for Schneiderlin) Fantastic set-piece delivery to set up Williams' goal. 7 SANDRO (for Mirallas) Not the best cameo 5
