How much will it cost you to park under the new system?

| Long stay on-street parking Parking for up to six hours will increase to PS7.20 from a current price of PS6. For 11 hours or more, fees are set to increase to PS12 from a previous rate of PS10 | |Short stay on-street parking Prices will rise from PS1.70 for a single hour to PS1.90. For five hours or more, fees will increase to PS5.50 from a previous charge of PS5.

|Castle Mews Car Parking will be limited to a maximum of five hours at Castle Mews under the new system, where previously it was permitted for up to 10 hours.

The council says this is bring parking at Castle Mews into line with other nearby short stay parking facilities. Fees will range from PS1.90 for one hour to PS5.50 for five hours.

|North Road Car Park Two new tariffs will be introduced for the North Road Car Park, situated at the bridge entrance to Bute Park.

Parking for four hours, anytime of day will cost PS4.60, while full day parking can be purchased for PS8.

|Sophia Gardens Tariffs at Sophia Gardens have been revised in order to bring them into line with on-street long and short stay charges.

Under the new system, parking charges will start at PS1.90 for one hour, rising to PS12 for 11 hours. 12 to 24-hour parking will remain an option, increasing from PS10.30 to PS16.

A weekly parking ticket will now cost motorists an extra 20% at PS31.20, up from PS26 previously.
