How Much Does 'Big Brother: Celebrity Edition' Winner Get?
In just a few short hours CBS viewers will get to watch 11 celebrities battle it out in a U.S. edition of "Big Brother: Celebrity Edition." But before the competition, and the highly-anticipated live feeds, begin, you may be curious just how much the winner of the 2018 season will get.
Like the regular summer editions of "Big Brother," the winner of "Celebrity Big Brother" will be awarded a cash prize during the season finale. However, unlike regular "BB" installments, the first-place winner will not get a cash prize of $500,000, though a similar amount is still up for grabs.
While CBS has reported the houseguests, which include the likes of Omarosa, Shannon Elizabeth, Mark McGrath, are battling for the $250,000 grand prize, TMZ (http://www.tmz.com/2018/01/30/omarosa-manigault-celebrity-big-brother-money/) reports the celebrities have been promised a bigger chunk of change should they make it to the end.
Despite the "Celebrity" season being significantly shorter than usual "Big Brother" installments, lasting just three weeks, the publication claims the stars participating have been given a $200,000 "base deal" with the promise of more money, depending how far they make it in the game.
"We're told the longer the celebs stick around, the more they can get paid," reads the report. "Our sources say the winner will take home a cool $500k."
The three-night "Big Brother: Celebrity Edition" premiere kicks off on CBS on Wednesday at 8 p.m. EST. Friday's installment is promised to be a two-hour, live eviction installment.
The series' live feeds will begin on CBS All Access starting Wednesday at 9 p.m. pacific time.
