Housing scams.

Byline: K.M. Shafi - Karachi

APROPOS the editorial 'Housing scams' (Dec 2). There is a mention of the National Accountability Bureau Karachi chapter being told by the NAB chairman to launch a fresh inquiry into the Fazaia Housing Scheme in the city for allegedly defrauding 6,000 people who have invested Rs13billion in the scheme. It also says that Malir Development Authority officials conspired with Bahria Town Karachi to illegally exchange and consolidate land for its project in Karachi.

I am among the thousands of victims who were allotted plots in MDA's Taiser Town Scheme in balotting held on Feb 27,2007. It is about 13 years that we have been trying to get possession of our land to no avail.

The NAB chairman is requested to launch a similar inquiry against Taiser Town officials and facilitate possession of land allotted to citizens.
