Hotel entrance repaired after digger rampage.

THE budget hotel which was torn apart in a digger rampage now looks almost unrecognisable from the scene of destruction left behind last month.

Travelodge's new property on Edge Lane was trashed by a disgruntled worker in a digger, who smashed into the lobby of the hotel causing major damage.

However, fresh photos taken at the site nearly three weeks after the incident show the hotel looking as good as new.

The frontage of the hotel appears to be completely restored - although it is unclear whether the damage inside has been repaired yet.

Police were called to Edge Lane Innovation Park, shortly before 3pm, on January 21, to reports a digger was being driven into the reception area of the hotel.

In footage, which has since gone viral, the digger arm can be seen tearing down the ceiling, smashing through the windows and destroying the front desk.

The driver can also be heard shouting: "PS600 f******* quid, all you had to do was pay me, my f******* PS600 quid, PS600 f******* quid".
