Premier Inn has opened its fourth London next generation hub hotel.
The 137-room hi-tech property in Westminster allows guests to book, check in, control lighting and room temperature and the TV settings from an Android or Apple app on a smartphone or Apple watch.
The other hubs are at Covent Garden, Tower Bridge and Spitalfields, plus one on Edinburgh's Royal Mile. Seven more openings in London and two more in Edinburgh are planned.

Upscale Rotana Hotels and Resorts is continuing its drive towards operating 100 properties in the Middle East, Africa, South Asia and Eastern Europe by 2020 with the opening of 16 new sites by the end of 2017. RIU Hotels & Resorts was one of the first international chains to open in increasingly popular mid-haul hotspot Cape Verde.
Now, 11 years after the opening of its first property in the Atlantic Ocean archipelago, it has given its two first hotels there a [euro]37million makeover and new names.
The ClubHotel Riu Funana is now the luxury Riu Palace Cabo Verde, while the ClubHotel Riu Garopa, becomes the ClubHotel Riu Funana.

Universal Orlando Resort is opening its sixth on-site hotel in summer 2018. The Aventura Hotel - run by its partner Loews - will be aimed at the value end of the market and be housed in a 16-storey glass tower with 600 rooms and the resort's first rooftop bar and grill.
A second dining option will be a modern food hall offering five types of cuisine. Guests will benefit from Early Park Admission to Universal's theme parks and free transport to them.
A five-star hotel opens in Malaga's historic Hotel Principe de Asturias building next month after a [euro]65m makeover. The 90-year-old property housing the new Gran Hotel Miramar was a field hospital during the Spanish Civil War and was the city's court house for two decades.
It features a ballroom, five restaurants and bars, plus a spa spanning two floors with indoor and outdoor pools.
