Hotel Esja to become Iceland's largest hotel.

Hotel Esja in Reykjavik, Iceland is to be enlarged, starting in November this year and continuing into March 2003, according to the management.

The estimated cost of the refurbishment is ISK2.0bn and it will add a further 100 rooms to the hotel, making the total nearly 300. This will make the hotel the largest in Iceland, reported Morgunbladid, an Icelandic newspaper.

The refurbishment will also add a conference hall, a presidential suite and a fitness hall.
