Hot news on how to stay warm during the winter.

A UNIQUE partnership has been formed between Ellesmere Port and Neston council and the local health service to help vulnerable people cope with cold weather.

The initiative is particularly aimed at older people who are at most risk of winter health problems.

A safe warm homes awareness day is being held in Ellesmere Port's civic hall and the Links Healthy Living Centre next Tuesday.

It will show how eligible households, old and young, can claim grants of up to pounds 1, 500 for cavity wall and loft insulation, while older people can claim a warm front plus grant of pounds 2, 500 for insulation.
