Hostage plea.

A former detainee at the US military base at Guantanamo Bay has called for the release of hostage Norman Kember.

Briton Moazzam Begg, who spent three years in the camp before his release in January, said pictures of Prof Kember and his three fellow captives in orange suits, reminded him of being held by the Americans.

Mr Kember, from London, was seized in Baghdad with James Loney, 41, and Harmeet Singh Sooden, 32, both Canadians, and an American, Tom Fox, 54.

The Swords of Righteousness Brigade has threatened to kill the men if Iraqi prisoners were not freed from US and Iraqi jails.
