Hospital shame; RecordView.

NEW mother Stacey Inglis was kicked out on to the street with her newborn daughter in the middle of the night because of absurd hospital rules in Oban.

She had to take refuge in a B&B. What an appalling way to treat a new mother and her daughter.

NHS boss Derek Leslie should be roundly embarrassed by the meaningless and rambling statement released by the Argyll and Bute Health Partnership under his name.

It was a perfect example of the mumbo-jumbo management speak which seemingly now infests every walk of Scottish public life.

All he had to do was issue a proper apology - and give a reassurance that this will not happen again.
