Horse lift City Cup; FOOTBALL.

RICH RUDDLESTONE struck in extra-time to earn Black Horse Sports the Coventry City Cup last night. His goal gave the Leamington outfit a 3- 2 victory against Coventry, District and Warwickshire Premier champions Newman Athletic to wreck the Coventry club's hopes of a league and cup double.

A see-saw thriller at Northbrook Sports saw Haj Dhesi's penalty opener for Black Horse overturned by Andy Higgs and John Maxwell. But man-of- the-match Daz Howson clawed Horse back on level terms with just five minutes of normal time remaining and Ruddlestone had the final word.
