Horse Racing: UAE Derby hope Folk to run for Godolphin.

FOLK, so impressive in a pair of Classics in Dubai this year for trainer Ismail Mohammed, will represent Godolphin as she bids to step up in grade against the colts in the UAE Derby.

The filly was trained by Tom Albertrani in the States last term, when she raced in the colours of Sheikh Mohammed's Darley stable, before routing her rivals in the UAE 1,000 Guineas on her first start in Dubai.

Again representing training sensation Mohammed, an ex-policeman like Godolphin's Saeed Bin Suroor, Folk went on to slam her rivals over the Derby course and distance in the UAE Oaks earlier this month.

After running on the World Cup card, she will join Godolphin's US-based team.

Races like the Kentucky Oaks, the day before the Derby, could be on her agenda. As well as Discreet Cat and Folk, Godolphin will be represented on World Cup night by Best Alibi (Sheema Classic), Best Name (Duty Free) and Killybegs (Godolphin Mile).
