Horse Racing: Solid Ink the safer bet to finish on top; TRADING POST.
Buy in Sporting's match bet with
Sander Camillo at 0.5
Very hard to fault Richard Hannon's filly, as she is a model of consistency and her close second in the Fred Darling, though probably not good enough to win this, at least proved her wellbeing and she won't be far away - she never is
Travels like a dream through her races and there won't be many going better entering the closing stages
Stamina isn't proven over 1m and there is a chance she won't see out the trip, which is an obvious concern
Indian Ink was not as good a two-year-old as Sander Camillo, but that was then and this is now and judging from their respective trials, I'd say the former boasts more solid credentials coming into this race.
Granted, a back-to-form Sander Camillo will make them all go, but I find it's always best to play the percentages in these match bets and Indian Ink is definitely the percentage call. MW
