Horror on farm kills boy, 10.

A boy aged 10 has died and his dad was fighting for his life last night after they were overcome by slurry fumes.

The 51-year-old father and his son were working on a farm near Dunloy, Co Antrim in Northern Ireland, when the accident happened.

It is understood they had been spreading slurry.

Emergency services were unable to save the boy.

The dad was critically ill in hospital in Belfast.

Ballymoney mayor John Finlay said: "There has been a tragic farm accident. The family are in my thoughts."

It comes less than two years after rugby star Nevin Spence, 22, his father and brother died in a slurry tank accident in Co Down.
