Horror as vile video put online; drownIng 2.

By EAVAN MURRAY FRIENDS of a man who drowned on a stag trip have reacted with fury to sick footage of his dying moments posted on YouTube.

GAA fan Aidan Mullan, from Tattyreagh, Co Tyrone, drowned in the River Liffey in Dublin in the early hours of Sunday.

The 35-year-old was on a night out in the city with his brother and had earlier attended the Tyrone-Roscommon match in Croke Park on Saturday afternoon.

His death and the alleged circumstances surrounding it have sent shockwaves through his tight-knit community.

Footage of Aidan's body being taken from the water was posted on YouTube yesterday and taken down last night after complaints.

The harrowing scene was shot on a mobile phone and shows emergency crews battling to revive him.

Family friend Martin Carton described the actions of whoever shot the footage as "despicable".

He said: "It is deeply sickening on a personal and a human perspective that someone could do this.

"It is an absolutely despicable act and shows a total lack of respect for human life and the family's grief.

"Whoever did this is disgraceful and I utterly condemn them."

Last night complaints from family and friends flooded the site's message board.

One horrified relative said: "On behalf of close friends of the deceased and seeing the heartbreaking devastation the family are going through with this horrible tragedy, I urge you to remove this video."
