Horror Game 'Perception' To Launch On May 30.

Deep End Games has released a new trailer for its upcoming survival horror game, "Perception." The developer also confirmed that the game will launch on May 30 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC.

The new trailer for "Perception" was shared exclusively online through (https://www.gamespot.com/articles/horror-game-perception-gets-new-trailer-release-da/1100-6449615/) GameSpot . The trailer itself is more of a montage to show off the game's scary environment that's set in a New England mansion.

"Perception" was first announced back in 2015 and is being developed by The Deep End Games which was co-founded by "BioShock Infinite" design director Bill Gardner. Players will take control of Cassie Thornton, a blind woman who has to traverse through a mansion haunted by a force only known as "the presence."

Players will only be equipped with a walking stick and a smartphone in the game. Tapping the walking stick creates a sound that allows Cassie (and the player) to "see" the surroundings through echolocation. Unfortunately, doing so will create noise which might attract the presence or other nearby supernatural foes.

"The tension here is that you see through sound. So you have to very carefully whether or not you should throw that vase down the hall to see what's down there because you could attract the presence," Gardner told (https://www.gamespot.com/articles/bioshock-veterans-working-on-horror-game-where-you/1100-6427566/) GameSpot back in 2015 . "Perception" is more of a mystery cat-and-mouse game that's like a cross between "Outlast" and the narrative-driven "Gone Home."

The Deep End Games started a Kickstarter campaign in 2015 to fund the development of "Perception." The game is being published by Feardemic, according to (https://gamerant.com/perception-trailer-release-date-horror/) GameRant.

Although the game is confirmed to arrive for the PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 30th, there's no word about its release date for the Nintendo Switch. The Switch version of "Perception" was confirmed back in February.
