Hopscotch Air to Launch Service from Boston Area.

Expands Fleet to Seven Planes

Signs Key Partnership with Linear Air

Becomes a Partner of the New York Islanders

NEW YORK -- Hopscotch Air, the transformative, on demand air limo service, announces a series of significant expansion plans as it makes the reality of personal aviation affordable to many more people.

The company has expanded its fleet of Cirrus aircraft to seven, becoming one of the largest Cirrus-based air carriers in the nation. With the addition of two airplanes in the Boston area, Hopscotch will launch service from Boston this winter.

"We conduct a significant amount of flights to Boston and we're excited about the opportunity to better serve Bostonians and the surrounding areas," said Hopscotch Air CEO Andrew Schmertz. "To paraphrase a Bostonian, we're 'wicked excited'."

The planes will be based at Hansom-Bedford Field (KBED) and Worcester Regional Airport (ORH) and will provide service from those airports and Boston-Logan.

"This will also allow us to serve more of New England - a place where regional airline availability is weak - and provide lower fares than we have been charging," Schmertz said. This past summer, Hopscotch Air drew a significant amount of business from the Burlington, Vermont and Portsmouth, New Hampshire areas.

In a move to offer its customers more options for when they need jet service, Hopscotch Air has partnered with Linear Air, the premier provider of affordable business jet service in Boston and New York. Linear flies the technologically-advanced Eclipse 500 very light jet. And Linear Air is now able to provide lower-cost options for its customers on shorter flights.

"Our partnership with Hopscotch has given our customers a terrific new option, and they have responded enthusiastically," said Peter Schmidt, Linear's COO. "The Cirrus is another beautiful aircraft, and it is great to have another arrow in our quiver for improving our customers' travel lives."

Hopscotch Air has also grown our marketing alliances, providing some exciting opportunities for its clients.

With the NHL returning to the ice, Hopscotch announces that it has become a proud partner of the New York Islanders. One of Hopscotch's airplanes carries the Islanders logo and the company is able to offer clients tickets to games. Hopscotch also gets marketing support in the suites of the Islanders home, the Nassau Coliseum.
