Hooton happy to take on charity role.

PETER Hooton, lead singer of The Farm, is the new patron of a city charity.

The 45-year-old has taken on the role for the Walking with Giants Foundation.

The charity was inspired by Alex Connerty, Merseyside's only primordial dwarf.

Peter said: "I met Alex's parents and it was a very humbling experience. It is amazing what they are doing for their son and the charity."
