Honour for trio.

Three members of St John Ambulance are to receive awards for their work and loyalty.

Trevor Deane, Brian McEvoy and Marecia Edmundson will become Serving Brothers and Serving Sister of the Order of St John.

Trevor Deane, divisional officer for South Tyneside and Jarrow, has been with St John Northumbria for 30 years while Marecia Edmundson, divisional officer at Wearside, has been a member for 12 years.

Brian McEvoy is divisional superintendent at the South East Northumberland Unit.

Lynn Horrocks, Commissioner for St John Ambulance Northumbria, praised the three who will be honoured at a ceremony at St John's Gate, London, on September 27.
