JONES is the recipient of the 2003 DOROTHY AND LILLIAN GISH PRIZE, which includes a silver medallion and approximately $250,000. * THE JOFFREY BALLET OF CHICAGO has been named the resident dance company of the Auditorium Theatre. * BALLET PACIFICA (Irvine, CA) invited JODIE GATES, ADAM HOUGLAND, MATTHEW NEENAN, and GINA PATTERSON to participate in the thirteenth annual Pacifica Choreographic Project. * TED BRANDSEN, the new artistic director of the DUTCH NATIONAL BALLET, received the Australian Centenary Medal. * THE DANCE CENTER OF COLUMBIA COLLEGE CHICAGO is marking its thirtieth anniversary of presenting contemporary dance in the Windy City. * Through its program Building Up Infrastructure Levels for Dance, the NEW YORK FOUNDATION FOR THE ARTS has awarded a total of $100,000 to eight New York dance companies: DAVID NEUMANN, DANCE BY NEIL GREENBERG, DONNA UCHIZONO COMPANY, FULL CIRCLE PRODUCTIONS, J MANDLE PERFORMANCE, MOVIN' SPIRITS DANCE THEATER, JANE COMFORT AND COMPANY/RACING THOUGHTS, INC., and SHEN WEI DANCE ARTS.
