Hong Kong role for firm.

INTERNATIONAL marine consultancy Andrew Moore & Associates has been chosen to represent the world's most imporant marine insurance market in Hong Kong.

The company, which has offices in Liverpool, will act on behalf of Lloyds of London in the former British colony which is one of the world's busiest ports.

Moores will be responsible for providing survey and adjusting services for the international marine insurance market for any shipping incidents occurring in the Hong Kong area. It will also be the sole provider of up to -date information about shipping incidents in Hong Kong to the global maritime insurance industry.

The company was established in 1990 and has offices in Liverpool, Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Marine surveyor Andrew Teasdale said: ``This is fantastic news for our company. The appointment as Lloyd's agent in such a major port as Hong Kong is a recognition of our status as a well established world class company.''
