Hong Kong : Instant Tap & Go top-up through Bank of China (Hong Kong).

HKT Payment Limited (HKT Payment), a Stored Value Facilities (SVF) license holder , announces that Tap & Go customers who are Bank of China (Hong Kong) (BOCHK) customers can now enjoy instant top-up of their Tap & Go mobile wallets anytime, anywhere.

Using the Tap & Go mobile wallet app, customers only need to input and confirm the top-up amount after selecting "Instant Bank Transfer" option in the Top-up menu, and the app will then connect to BOCHK's Internet banking service webpage seamlessly to complete the transaction. The amount will then be instantaneously transferred to the Tap & Go account.

Ms. Monita Leung, Head of HKT Payment, said, "As a leading SVF licensed mobile payment service provider in Hong Kong, we are committed to bringing greater mobile payment convenience to consumers. We are excited that our customers' mobile payment experience will be further enhanced through the collaboration with BOCHK. This new top-up option will enable our customers to top up instantly through the Tap & Go mobile wallet app, making both online and in-store payments more convenient."

Ms. Leung added, "Moving forward, we will be expanding our top-up network to over 40 banks in Hong Kong. More customers will then be able to top up through bank account transfer to their mobile wallets. In addition to instant top-up option, Tap & Go customers will be able to set up scheduled top-up to pay HKT bills regularly, making monthly bill payments on time and with ease. Details will be available when the service is launched in July."
