With the signing of Hong Kong ship manager the ID Shipmanagement the ShipServ the most important marine and offshore e-marketplace, has built further on its expected position among ship managers.
IDSM is the ship management arm of Investment Group Denmark A/S and is at present accountable for the technical management of 15 dry bulk vessels counting handysizes and panamaxes.
The ship manager select ShipServ on the strength of its ability to present advanced sourcing and procurement tools alongside its main offering of rising transaction speeds and improving acquiring competence.
These advanced tools and services comprise ShipServ Match, an automated supplier suggestion service that can decrease purchasing costs by up to 10 percent, and a KPI benchmarking tool that offers specific purchasing KPIs based on the trading activities of more than 8,500 vessels.
IDSM will use ShipServ Onboard an onboard requisition tool to link to ShipServ s web-based procurement platform, which will permit IDSM to upload purchase order information direct into its Navision accounting system.
