Hong Kong : BEWG and ADB sign for US$4 million loan contract.

A US$240 million loan contract has been inked between Beijing Enterprises Water Group (BEWG) and Asian Development Bank (ADB) to offer superior wastewater treatment plants to meet up recycle water quality for industry cooling and urban ecosystem functions.

Before sanctioning the loan the bank investigated and confirmed the companya s business model ecological success and functional capability.

Moreover, the bank will also give technical aid amounting US$500,000 to perk up the energy capability of wastewater treatment plants. The technical support will boost the wastewater recycle and release fresh water in cities.

Beijing Enterprises Water Group Limited ("BEWG"), a company listed on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (Stock Code: 0371), is a large-scale group which has its own competitive advantage in water supply industry in mainland China. This represents the Group has started to persue its expansion strategy toward the national market.
