Hong Kong,United States : Financial markets group expands in Amsterdam.
International law firm Simmons & Simmons has further expanded its financial markets practice in Amsterdam with the addition of Minke Hoekstra, who joins on 01 September 2017 as Counsel. Minke brings with her a particular focus on the asset management & investment funds (AMIF) sector.
Minke joins from Shell Asset Management Company where she was Managing Counsel Regulatory & Compliance. She has a considerable track record in the AMIF sector, having fulfilled several senior positions at ING Real Estate Investment Management (presently CBRE) and ING Investment Management (presently NN Investment Partners) in the Netherlands, New York and Hong Kong. Minke started her career at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, working in its Investment Management practices in London, New York and Amsterdam.
This is the fifth senior addition to Simmons & Simmons financial markets group in Amsterdam in the last 18 months. Minkes arrival follows that of Banking counsel Frdrique Jacobse and Banking partner Jan-Joost van Rijsbergen, as well as Capital Markets & Structured Finance partner Jeroen Bos and Restructuring & Insolvency partner Erwin Bos.
