Homeless man gives life for woman.

Kelcy Ruiz was a 32-year-old homeless man living on the streets of Miami. His use of drugs had rendered him unfit for regular employment. His only source of self-support came from odd jobs he performed for a woman named Melida Murillo, owner of a Colombian restaurant called Mama Leonor.

On May 9, another homeless man named Tyrone Daniel Clark attempted to rob Murillo at knifepoint. Ruiz came to the aid of the woman who had provided him with the opportunity to salvage some self-respect and succeeded in thwarting the robbery. Unfortunately, the attacker stabbed and killed Ruiz.
