HomeVestors of America and several of its franchisees have established The Ken D'Angelo Foundation to raise funds for cancer research and academic scholarships. The foundation honors the company's late founder, who passed away in January. The foundation was launched in August with a fundraising gala which collected more than $270,000 which will be invested and the interest income will be used to award scholarships to college students studying franchising, entrepreneurship or real estate and to support bile duct cancer research.
