HomeSeekers.com Inc. Expands its Internet-Based Multiple Listing Service For The Real Estate Industry To More Than 660,000 Listings.

MINDEN, Nev.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 14, 1998--HomeSeekers.com Inc. (OTC BB:HMSK), a leading provider of on-line residential real estate listing information for home buyers, real estate agents, mortgage and title insurance companies and others, Wednesday announced that it has signed agreements to add thousands of additional home listings to HomeSeekers.com's Internet site.

With these agreements, HomeSeekers.com now has aggregated more than 660,000 real estate listings, representing roughly half of all home listings in the United States at any time.

The 3,800-member Austin Board of REALTORS, Austin, Texas, has signed with HomeSeekers to place its nearly 5,000 active listings on HomeSeekers.com. The agreement also provides for HomeSeekers.com's management of the property search engine of the Austin Board of REALTORS Internet site, Austin Home Search, which will be unveiled in mid-October.

Additionally, HomeSeekers.com signed the Reno-Sparks Association of REALTORS of Reno, Nevada, which will add nearly 2,500 active listings to HomeSeekers.com. The Reno-Sparks Association has 1,193 multiple listing service (MLS) members and also serves as the MLS for the South Lake Tahoe Board of Realtors. The South Tahoe Board has already contracted with HomeSeekers.com earlier this year to place its listings on-line with HomeSeekers.

Also, a recent agreement with RE InfoLink, the MLS provider for San Mateo, Santa Clara, Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Benito counties in Northern California, allows member brokers the individual choice of placing their listings on HomeSeekers.com.

HomeSeekers currently has more than 2,100 listings on-line from the RE InfoLink members through previous agreements reached with Prudential of California, Realty World, Better Homes & Gardens, Century 21 Contempo, and other large independent firms in the area. RE InfoLink has approximately 11,000 members and processes 47,000 listings annually.

HomeSeekers.com also entered into an agreement with RMLS of Portland, Ore., which gives individual member brokers the choice of placing their listings on HomeSeekers.com. The agreements with RE InfoLink and RMLS provide for an electronic push of the listing data to HomeSeekers.com from brokers who have given their permission to place their listings on the site. RMLS covers the five counties of Greater Metropolitan Portland and has approximately 6,000 members and 13,000 active listings.

"A key to HomeSeekers.com's value is the completeness of the real estate listings on our site. We are committed to building the premier national listing inventory base to better serve all of our clients including agents, brokers, MLS vendors and other business partners, as well as serious home buyers around the country.

"These most recent agreements followed recommendations from our current MLS partners who have realized significant benefits from our partnerships. We are pleased to welcome the newest data providers to our site," said Greg Johnson, chief executive officer of HomeSeekers.com Inc.
