Home furnishings retailer signs.

In a leasing transaction negotiated by New Spectrum Realty Services, Inc., Better Your Home, the Manhattan-based housewares and home furnishings retailer, has leased a 3,000-square-foot store at 1299 Second Avenue, at 68th Street, for its second New York location.

The 15-year lease, at an undisclosed rental, was negotiated by Gary Alterman, executive vice president of New Spectrum Realty Services, Inc. Louis Somoza represented Rudin Management.

In another transaction, Software Etc., the Minneapolis-based computer software retailer has taken approximately 1,300 square feet of space at 743 Broadway, at Astor Place in Greenwich Village.

The 12-year lease, at an undisclosed rental, was also negotiated by Gary Alterman, executive vice president. Bruce A. Speigel represented Dwelling Management, Inc., as agent for the landlord.
