Home Depot leases 212,000 sf at New Jersey's Interchange 8A.

The Home Depot, one of the nation's largest home improvement retailers, has signed leases for 212,000 square feet of warehouse/distribution space at Interchange 8A of the New Jersey Turnpike, in a transaction negotiated by the Charles Klatskin Company, representing the tenant. This transaction closely follows Home Depot's lease of 252,000 square feet at Forsgate Corporate Center in late 1992, also negotiated by C. Robert Lonshein for the Charles Klatskin Company.

Home Depot will take immediate occupancy and is expected to employ 25 workers at the site. The free-standing facility, which was formerly the site of the lighting division of North American Phillips, features six rail doors, 20 loading docks and dual drive-throughs for easy loading and unloading of lumber at the distribution center.

Charles Klatskin, president of Charles Klatskin Company, is leasing agent for Forsgate Corporate Center.

C. Robert Lonshein, a senior vice president in the Charles Klatskin Company, real estate brokerage division, served as the broker in the transaction. Michael Nachamkin of Cushman & Wakefield represented the owner.

Home Depot joins tenants including Proctor & Gamble, IFF and Dole, who also occupy facilities in the Exit 8A region.
