Home Depot Names New Vice President for E-Business.

ATLANTA, July 10 /PRNewswire/ --

The Home Depot (NYSE: HD) has named Rebecca W. Bass as its first vice president for e-Business.

Bass, former CEO of Galileo Development Systems, an Atlanta based Web- software company, was also an executive with LEXIS-NEXIS and Motorola. Her career includes 10 years with the General Electric Company, where she was business general manager of GE Aircraft Engines, among other management posts.

"We are fortunate to have the hands-on leadership of such an experienced leader as Rebecca heading up our e-Business operations," said Lynn Martineau, president of Home Depot's new growth businesses division. "She brings exactly what our customers, stockholders and the company need at this important juncture.

"Our e-Business is now operating in the 48 contiguous states. With the added momentum Rebecca brings, I am expecting the business to take on new importance as we begin to leverage and extend the capabilities of our core and adjacent businesses."

Bass earned a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law, B.A., Bryn Mawr College (cum laude with department honors). She was a finalist for the "Woman of the Year in Technology Award" and was selected as a "Diva" (outstanding woman in business) by Atlanta's Business to Business Magazine (2000).
