Holystone and Palmersville.

A residential Action Group has been set up following a public meeting last week concerning flies, dust, noise, and smells from a nearby industrial estate. No council officers were in attendance but a briefing note on the situation was handed out, bringing the residents up to date with a new planning application to go before Planning Committee on June 8. Residents were urged to log incidents and to contact the Environment Agency on 08708 506506 with complaints. Further meetings will take place when the outcome of the planning application is known. Call Wendy Toon 280 1946.

KITCHEN and bathroom replacement is scheduled to start this week in Feetham Avenue, Felton Drive, Bannister Drive, Anne Drive and Margaret Drive, with anticipated completion date of June 04. The contractor is North Tyneside Construction Group.

REQUESTS from residents to slow traffic speeds in Holystone/Devonshire Drive and Carlisle Way have been submitted to North Tyneside Council.
