Holyfield to face 'Tysons'.

LEGENDARY heavyweight boxer Evander Holyfield will be met with a sea of fans wearing Mike Tyson masks when he makes his first ever appearance in the UK at a Midland sports bar.

Evander Holyfield, who famously had part of his ear chewed off by Mike Tyson, is set to appear at The Premier Suite, above Bar Sport in Cannock on Tuesday evening.

Scott Murray, owner of Bar Sport, says he wants to add a bit of humour to the evening and says he could be handing out joke ears as well.

He said: "I think we will be handing out a few Mike Tyson masks for people to wear on the night. I will be wearing a Mike Tyson mask as will boxing promoter Ron Gray and I will be encouraging other people to do so as well. I am sure Evander has a good sense of humour - well, we hope he has.

"It is a huge coup for Cannock and the wider West Midlands. Evander's appearance at Bar Sport will be his first in the UK so it is very exciting for us."

Holyfield is flying over from America and will be appearing at four venues across the UK but the Cannock venue is the first. Holyfield was both a cruiserweight and heavyweight world champion and retired from the ring in October last year, though there are reports he could make a comeback.

In 1996 (pictured) he went on to defeat Mike Tyson to win the WBA title and become the first heavyweight fighter since Muhammad Ali to win the world title three times.
