Holiday medical support.
GP surgeries will close at the usual time on Friday, May 22 and will reopen on Tuesday, May 26.
If you need urgent out of hours medical care (which is by appointment only) call NEWDoc on 01244 834999.
The out of hours service cannot make routine appointments for your surgery, provide repeat prescriptions or deal with routine medical problems.
Those requiring repeat medication medicines from their doctor prior to the Bank Holiday should seek them in advance.
For emergencies such as loss of consciousness, severe chest pain or serious accidents, ring 999 or go to your nearest Accident & Emergency Department. Information and advice can also be obtained by calling NHS Direct on 0845 46 47.
For emergency dental treatment, dental patients who are on a General Dental Practitioner list are advised to contact their own surgery to listen to an answer-phone message for details of out of hours arrangements. They may be advised to contact NHS Direct Wales. Patients who are not on a General Dental Practitioner list should contact NHS Direct Wales on 08456 010128.
There will also be additional emergency dental clinics in operation utilising a first come, first served arrangement, with limited spaces, between 9am and 12.30pm on Bank Holiday Monday, May 25. These will be held at: Deeside Community Hospital, Plough Lane, Aston, Deeside; Dental Clinic, Penmynydd Road, Llanfairpwll; Royal Alexandra Hospital, Rhyl; Wrexham Dental Centre, Grove Road, Wrexham..
