Hoar Construction and Faith Community Hospital Bring Healthcare Home for Rural Texas Town.

Jacksboro, TX, October 31, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Together with Faith Community Hospital administrators, Hoar Construction announces the completion of the highly anticipated replacement hospital that sets the standard for rural healthcare facilities. The new $28 million, 86,000 square foot hospital in Jacksboro, Texas - population 4,511 - triples the capacity of the existing hospital.

The expanded program within the new Faith Community Hospital includes a walk-in community clinic, free-standing emergency (EMS) facility, and larger physical and cardiovascular therapy departments. New services include obstetrics and on-site mammograms. Faith Community Hospital will also be the first hospital in Texas to use geothermal heating and cooling systems. O'Connell Robertson is the architect and Hoar Construction is the construction manager.

Faith Community Hospital is the lone healthcare facility for Jacksboro's 4,500 residents, and is legally responsible for providing all indigent care throughout Jack County. 47% of FCH patients receive Medicare, and the county ranks near the bottom in the state for its healthcare record. Faith CEO Frank Beaman is on a mission to reverse that ranking. Beaman joined the organization in 2011 and has aggressively led changes ranging from usage of electronic medical records to healthy living programs administered in conjunction with other local organizations. The new hospital is the largest component of Beaman's overall goal to make FCH a leader among rural healthcare providers in the country.

"Jack County will be a shining example of what a rural community can accomplish," Beaman stated. "Hoar Construction has been a tremendous partner in helping us achieve our goals with this hospital. From their project leadership to community involvement, Hoar has been equally as committed to the success of the hospital as we are."

Community engagement was critical in the success of the new Faith Community Hospital. Hoar partnered with the design team and hospital administrators to hold community meetings, focus groups and participate in local charity efforts as often as possible. The construction team hosted school supply drives, fire fighters BBQ, volunteered with Big Brothers, Big Sisters and last October, invited the entire community of Jacksboro to the topping out of the hospital.

"This project is a great example of how the design and construction process should work," Jeff Light, Hoar Construction project executive said. "Early collaboration, thoughtful planning, and trust allowed Faith, O'Connell Robertson, and Hoar to prevent major issues and to effectively deal with minor issues as they arose. I'm proud of how this group of individual companies became one Team."
