Hit-and-run caused serious head injury; E&S BRIEFING.
A man was left with a serious head injury after a hitand-run crash.
The 25-year-old was walking home along Gospel Oak Road, in Tipton, when he was struck by a small black car which sped off. He was taken to hospital but has since been discharged and is now recovering a home. West Midlands Police has urged any witnesses to come forward and share dash-cam footage after trawling through CCTV.
The hit-and-run took place just before 12.25am on June 23. Sergeant Liam Hemmings, from the force's traffic unit, said: "We need to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time but not spoken to us already. I'd also ask if anyone has any dashcam footage from the area on that evening to get in touch.
"We are trying to piece together what happened in the lead up to this collision as our enquiries continue."
Anyone with information is asked to contact police via live chat online between 8am and midnight or call on 101 anytime, quoting log number 71 of June 23.
