Hit by a Rainbow, What Life is Like as an Artist.

HIT BY A RAINBOW, WHAT LIFE IS LIKE AS AN ARTIST. Joseph Sorrentino Fine Arts Productions, 15 Monarch Plaza, Suite 233, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677. VHS format, 27 minutes, $39.95.

This program was created to inspire young people's interest in the creative process and encourage them to follow their dreams if they choose to become professional artists. Through a presentation of the life style and work of artist Laurie Zagon, an answer is suggested to a question students rarely ask but often have in mind--what is life like as an artist? As this question is addressed, viewers are also introduced to this artist's innovative forms of arches, three-panel screens and colorful hanging mobiles as well as her works which integrate painting with basic architectural forms.

While it is an ideosyncratic video, it is nevertheless worth considering as a resource for art programs. For further information on this program, write the producer or call (714) 499-3918.
