Hiss me baby one more time.

MILLIONS of fans can only dream of giving Britney Spears a squeeze.

But the only fella that seems to be succeeding is this seven-foot python.

The star wrapped the huge snake round her neck as she emerged from a cage with several animals, including a tiger, at the MTV awards.

Britney wore a revealing belly dancer's outfit at the glittering ceremony in New York.

And she finished off her daring outfit with thigh-high boots, fake jewel tattoos and a gem in her belly button.

The 19-year-old singer draped the writhing snake across her shoulders as she sang her new single I'm a Slave 4 U.

Earlier in the evening Britney, escorted by her boyfriend, 'N Sync star Justin Timberlake, arrived at the ceremony in a see-through lace dress.

The evening was a triumph for British stars. DJ Fatboy Slim, alias Norman Cook, picked up six prizes for his video Weapon Of Choice, including best direction and best art direction.

Robbie Williams, who was not at the event, won best special effects for his Rock DJ video.

American boy band 'N Sync took three of the main prizes, while the honour of best video of the year went to Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mya and Pink for Lady Marmalade, taken from the Moulin Rouge soundtrack.

Michael Jackson made a surprise appearance on the eve of his 30th anniversary gig at Madison Square Gardens.

He was given a standing ovation as he burst out of a giant backdrop.

Irish stars U2, who performed live at the show, were nominated five times and won the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award.
