Hillary in collapse.

HILLARY Clinton fainted during a speech yesterday after being laid low by a 24-hour stomach flu bug.

The New York senator collapsed in Buffalo nearly five months after husband Bill's heart scare.

But her entourage played down the seriousness of the illness as she left unaided, saying she did not need to attend hospital.

An aide said: "She was weak and had to sit down. She just fainted."

Mrs Clinton, 57, told the audience of 150 that she had a stomach virus, before beginning her speech on social security.

Former President Bill had quadruple heart bypass surgery for blocked arteries in September.
