Hill won't repeat his Burp.

Byline: MARK JEFFERIES reporters@dailyrecord.co.uk

COMEDIAN Harry Hill has ruled out bringing back hit show TV Burp and says being in front of the cameras makes him "grumpy".

The 50-year-old used to pull in audiences of more than seven million and up to PS20million a year in advertising for ITV when Burp was at its peak a few years ago.

But Hill, who is returning to TV tonight to host the new Stars in Their Eyes, dismissed any hopes of Burp making a comeback.

He said: "No, I've done that enough. What I like is that before I had TV Burp stretching out months in advance now I don't know what's going to happen next.

"When you are starting out that's the kind of thing that used to scare you. Now I am quite enjoying it."

Hill has added his own comic script to Stars in Their Eyes and, unlike previous host Matthew Kelly, performs as a different singer himself each week.

But he admits it has not all been fun in front of the cameras again. He said: "It's always intense. I said to my wife, 'Expect me to be grumpy and tired.' But that's the game, I guess."
