Hilco Industrial Slates Auction of Former G.M. Willow Run Transmission Plant for May 17th.

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- Hilco Industrial, LLC, the machinery and equipment auction/disposition unit of Hilco Trading, LLC, in partnership with Maynards Industries, will auction the assets of Racer Trust, formerly known as the General Motors Willow Run Transmission Plant in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The plant includes more than 6 million square feet of state-of-the-art machinery and equipment.

In total, more than 7,000 lots encompassing over 2,000 machines will be auctioned, including late model CNC machining and turning centers, CNC broaching and hobbing machines, CNC gear grinders, robots, other fabrication machinery and a broad array of tooling and inspection equipment.

Robert Levy, a partner with Hilco Industrial, and Taso Sofikits, President of Maynards, said in a joint statement, "A recent rebound in demand for late-model used automotive production-related machinery and equipment, combined with the international reach of Hilco and Maynards through simultaneous onsite/webcast auctions, should make this a very active sale.
