Hilb Rogal & Hobbs Company Announces Seven Power Brokers.

RICHMOND, Va. -- Hilb Rogal & Hobbs Company (NYSE:HRH), the world's tenth largest insurance and risk management intermediary, announced today that the highly regarded nationally-distributed industry publication Risk & Insurance has named seven HRH brokers as Power Brokers in its February 2007 issue.

Power Brokers were selected based on their creativity in helping their clients solve risk-related problems, their demonstrated industry knowledge, and their high level of client service. Nominees were divided into 27 different industry practice groups, and then investigated in depth before the final decisions were made. Interviews with the brokers' clients were an integral factor in determining the highly-coveted top Power Broker spots, with customers' experiences weighing heavily on the decision-making process.

Out of a total of HRH's 21 nominated brokers, the seven HRH Power Brokers for this year are:

* Garry Edwards, ARM - Utilities - San Francisco

* Alex Fairly - Sports - Amarillo

* Dan Morton - Transportation - Chicago

* Jane Sharfstein, CPCU, AMIM - Marine - San Mateo, California

* Lee Sommars - Long Term Care - San Diego

* Joel Troisi - Retail - Atlanta

* Joe Vineis, CPCU - Retail - New York

HRH's President, Mike Crowley commented, "We are very proud of HRH's expansive talent pool, and to have a tangible tribute to our brokers' knowledge and commitment to customer service is an honor. We are thrilled to have seven of our accomplished brokers receive such a prestigious designation within these highly-competitive spots. Our sincere thanks to Risk & Insurance for undertaking the complex task of identifying the best brokers in the industry, and congratulations to each of this year's Power Brokers on behalf of HRH."
