Highline Media launches magazine and acquires 'Fraud International' and 'Crackdown'.

The National Underwriter Company (Erlanger, KY), a division of Highline Media LLC (Hoboken, NJ), recently acquired the rights to 'Fraud International' from Phil Peart and MJM Investigations (Raleigh, NC). With a circulation of 8,000, the FI audience is comprised of special investigative units in insurance companies, claims executives and corporate risk managers dedicated to fighting fraud in the industry. Highline has also acquired 'Crackdown!,' a magazine with a similar mission in New York State also transfered to National Underwriter. No terms of either deal were given.

'Crackdown!' has been published by CINN Worldwide (Mt. Vernon, NY) alongside 'Insurance Advocate,' which was acquired by National Underwriter in September 2004. National Underwriter has merged "Fraud International' into 'Crackdown!' and has begun publishing the title as a quarterly magazine, with expanding frequency as market conditions warrant. Editorial covers issues related to dealing with insurance fraud, developments from the perspective of the claims industry, and new anti-fraud techniques and advances.

Also, Highline Media has begun the publication of 'Advising Boomers' with an April issue. The title has a circulation of 75,000 financial industry professionals, including planners, independent registered reps, investment advisors, insurance agents, bank investment consultants, CPAs, and trust and estate professionals. 'Advising Boomers' is a publication designed to help financial advisors work with Baby Boomer clients. The title covers the psychological and lifestyle issues affecting Boomers, as well as their financial concerns.

'Advising Boomers' is the one-stop resource that covers the full spectrum of Boomer concerns," says editor-in-chief Richard J. Koreto. The first issue covers Boomer attitudes toward annuities, methods for marketing to Boomers, the financial and psychological issues surrounding career changes, and why separately managed accounts help Boomer portfolios.

Highline Media LLC is a publishing company focusing on information for the financial, insurance and real estate sector. The company's first acquisition, The National Underwriter Company ("NUCO"), a publisher for the insurance industry, was completed in October 2003. Highline's private equity sponsor is Spire Capital Partners L.P. (New York), a $260 million private equity fund focused on the media and communications sectors.
