High-tech security reassures hotel's high-profile guests; IN ASSOCIATION WITH Rensburg Sheppards.

SECURITY specialist Human Recognition Systems (HRS) has supplied a luxury hotel with a high-tech security system that can electronically monitor people's behaviour and recognise their faces.

The Vincent Hotel in Southport, which opened in May and has been visited by stars including actor Jude Law, has become the first in the UK to use HRS's latest Intelligent Video Management Systems to manage its CCTV cameras.

The hotel's general manager Bernhard Stacher said: "Prevention is our number one priority - we have a steady flow of famous guests as well as private individuals whose main concern is not just luxury, but security and privacy. The new IVMS system helps us to manage this with great efficiency."

HRS business development manager Lee Hannis said: "The key to security is balance - there needs to be a re-assuring level, while making sure it is unobtrusive."
