High-performance VMC.

The Hardinge-Bridgeport VMC760X[P.sup.3] machining center features machine geometries that are typically two times better than the ISO standards. Heavily-ribbed cast iron construction is used throughout, along with wide-spaced guideways, dual-ball linear guides, and oversized 45-mm ballscrews. A low center of gravity assists with vibration reduction. Critical surfaces and alignments are achieved through hand-scraping techniques. The tool changer is mounted on a separate shoulder to avoid stress on the column. Standard speeds are provided up to 12,000 rpm powered by a 25-hp motor. Hardinge Inc., Booth 1341 or PMTS Booth 800
